During my two-year training I gained invaluable experience in all aspects of child care which gave me the best possible start in my career and later on as a mother of two !
The full-time training consisted of three days based in College and two days on various placements. The placements were an excellent insight into the various rôles of a nursery nurse. Personally it helped me to decide which area of child care I wanted to focus on.
The days based at College consisted of lectures and practical work and we were always encouraged us to produce work of a high standard. The work we learnt at College was then put into practice in our placements.
As a nursery nurse currently working in a day nursery, the child observations completed in my training have been extremely useful and form an important part of my job.
I feel very privileged to have gained my Diploma at this College; to have been encouraged to always produce work of a high professional standard , which has given me the best possible start to my career.
